When you say it's $70 to clean an engine of fluids you shouldn't charge $89.95. When you talk to Levi one day one and 3 other people after, the story changes. If a person has a day off, the others should be able to give accurate information. A 1 day job shouldn't take 3 days. I made the appt for deferred work of about $765. The starter went out before that appt. I let them rediagnose the leaks and fix the starter even though the deferred work was already documented. Of course it made sense to clean the engine. They said $70 charged $89.95. I also told them it was the starter since the road service man got me started by tapping it. So I paid $89.95 for a rediagnosis of the deferred work and work that I diagnosed. They had the car from Tues to Friday. I had to call them Wed and Thurs late afternoon since I heard nothing at all day both days. $740 for a starter and a bath. It paid for Uber rides and got help from my boss to get around. Thursday was spent waiting for a call back from Toyota? Really? Since my bf was out of town I let them fix it. Some of the deferred work went from $99 in 2020 to possibly just $49 for a hose & back up to $349. The oil leak which was why I went there in the first place, is still $646. I called them recently after receiving a text offering a 15% discount. I didn't notice till later on that my discount was only $5. The man cashing me out said to a mechanic that he was doing 4 other things and seemed overwhelmed. I got out of there fast. I'm disgusted and my boyfriend is livid. He was out of town and could have fixed the starter for less than half price that since it took 4 days to pick up the car. Deferred work that was $740 is now $1025. Valve covers and power steering leak. I went back because the first time I spent over $800 getting axles they were so nice, even though they forgot to pick me and my elderly mom up. I figured it was a one time fluke error. The driver said no one told him. It was a big deal to me since she had Alzheimer's disease and I had to take her with me. They need better communication. I heard about the rewards program as I was leaving. I'd like my $19.95 back for washing my engine. It didn't even say "engine clean up" it was listed as an evaluation. So I paid for that twice.
